UHNW Security in Dubai
Dubai is one of the world’s major financial, trade and business centres. Its rise from inauspicious beginnings to global economic powerhouse in such a short space of time has been remarkable.
Today, there are over 2,500 international companies based in or represented in the area, trading on global markets 24 hours a day. With its global attraction for trade and some of the world’s most iconic hotels and sites of interest, it’s no wonder that it’s viewed amongst the world’s elite as a highly attractive investment opportunity.
It is due to Dubai’s business status that Sceptre was approached by an Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) personal representative to plan and arrange security for an international visit by their employer to the emirate.
The visits would be numerous, starting in the closing days of 2024 and carrying on into mid-2025. The appointments would involve many high-level meetings with the international business community and stopovers at various potential investment sites. Also on the itinerary would be several social engagements with other high-status individuals.
Security Risk Analysis
Sceptre began by undertaking a detailed Security Risk Analysis, which identified any potential risk. Once the likely risk had been identified, a comprehensive security plan was developed to mitigate that risk and enable the Dubai engagements to proceed safely.
Sceptre representatives would be responsible for the individual from departure from their overseas residence in Western Europe, travel to and arrival in Dubai, residential safety in the country and all internal travel arrangements. They would then ensure safe transportation out of the country and travel back home upon concluding their business in the emirate.
The security plan consisted of a UHNW escort 24 hours a day, the arrangement of in-country secure transportation, the contracting of any additional local resources, and liaison with government security representatives.
The first visit in 2024 proceeded smoothly, facilitating the advancement of various business investment engagements. The initial visit has since been followed up with subsequent additional business visits by the UHNW to Dubai in 2025.
Sceptre is currently in negotiations with the executive representatives to provide further security support for their UHNW clients at additional sites throughout the world, exploring other areas of investment opportunity.
